My Story
Hello! I'm Martina ...
founder of BlossomToLife, certified in fitness, nutrition and mentor with deep belief in holistic healing
What started as my own path to recovery has grown into a mission to support women in feeling ernergised, empowerd, and at peace in their own skin.
I was born with eczema — inflamed skin, especially on my arms and legs — and lived with it for the first 8 years of my life. At the time, no one really knew why. Creams didn’t help. Medications were useless. But looking back now, with what I’ve learned, I honestly believe it was psychosomatic, and likely started even before I was born — during my mum’s pregnancy. Alongside the eczema, I was often sick. I caught tonsillitis at least twice a year, had regular ear infections, and even had my nose tonsil removed as a toddler. But at that time, no one spoke about emotions being stored in the body. Psychosomatics wasn’t on anyone’s radar — yet.
WHEN HEALTHY DIDN'T FEEL RIGHT
Fast forward to my early 20s. I moved to London, full of dreams and drive. Shortly after, I started to develop digestive issues. Curious and frustrated by conventional medicine’s surface-level answers, I began researching nutrition. (Let’s be honest — most doctors receive minimal training in this area.) That curiosity lit a fire in me.
Around that time, I also started training at the gym and studying fitness personal training, and nutrition — simply because I enjoyed it so much. The gym became my second home, sometimes for 2–3 hours a day 6 times a week. Add to that cycling 90 minutes daily to work and back where I lived then, being on my feet all day, and you get a picture of a woman who looked “healthy” on the outside… but was burning out on the inside.I was living on 1200 calories a day, moving non-stop, and unknowingly pushing my body into chronic stress mode. My cortisol levels were likely high, which also threw my hormones out of balance. But I didn’t realise that at the time. And so, I ignored the signs — staying constantly in motion. Eventually, my body decided to speak louder — through constant immune crashes. I kept ignoring the whispers, so the universe gave me a wake-up call: Two bike accidents within one month. Message received: “Slow down. Have some rest.”
SLOWING DOWN TO COME BACK TO ME
I traded my bike and barbell for ballet barre and the dance studio — returning to my childhood dream. Looking back, I believe everything happens for a reason. No coincidences here. If you start to observe your life closely, every piece of the puzzle eventually falls into place.
WHEN FAMILY ILLNESS BECAME MY WAKE-UP CALL
That same decade, five close family members were diagnosed with cancer. By then, I had already gained some knowledge about psychosomatics and natural healing. So I became more alert and curious — observing their diets, environments, and emotional loads. Patterns started to emerge. It all began to make sense.
THE HIDDEN BURNOUT OF MODERN MUMS
I also thought back to my past career, working closely with parents and children.
And again — I saw the same story repeating. Especially in today’s world, modern mums are often overloaded, undernourished, and emotionally overwhelmed. Juggling it all… and barely breathing.
That’s when it really hit me: Health starts even before we’re born. It’s not just what’s on your plate —It’s what’s on your mind, in your heart, and in your daily rhythm. That’s why I find it so important to share health principles with young women even before they conceive — and then to help teach their little ones how to care for their bodies… not just from the outside, but from the inside too.
WHEN PASSION TURNS INTO PURPOSE
Learning to understand psychosomatics, holistic healing, energy work, and alternative medicine has given my journey so much meaning. I remember even in my teens, I was never interested in quick fixes. I always wanted the truth. I wanted to understand the root cause. I wanted real healing.
Over the years, as I walked this healing path, something beautiful kept happening — women started coming to me for advice. Friends, clients, and mums I worked with… asking about food, digestion, energy, natural remedies — because they could feel I had both the knowledge and the passion for this work.
Back in 2016, I quietly planted the seed of what would one day grow into BlossomToLife. For a while, it lived alongside my other work — something I nurtured in the evenings, on weekends, or whenever someone needed support. But the calling kept getting louder. In February 2023, I made it official: This became my full-time work, my daily rhythm, and my devotion.
What I share today is exactly what I wish someone had shared with me more than a decade ago. But every twist, every lesson, and every moment along the way shaped who I am — and I truly wouldn’t change a thing. I continue to learn and grow every day — now through the stories, questions, and breakthroughs of the women I work with.
This isn’t just something I’m passionate about — it’s something I’ve lived. These themes have always felt natural to me. And now, it’s my joy to help other women find their own path to feeling good, grounded, and full of life.
FOOD AND ME - FROM FORCE TO FREEDOM
Let’s just say… meat and I were never friends. From what my mum told me, I rejected it from my very first baby meal. As a child, I was often forced to eat it — sometimes even punished if I didn’t. But no one ever really explained why it was supposed to be good for me. I remember sitting in school cafeterias long after lunch was over, a full plate in front of me, teacher watching… me inside hoping my mum would come to the rescue when she picks me up.
Eventually, I chose what felt right for me. I followed a mostly vegetarian lifestyle with plenty of fruits and veggies, and then lived fully plant-based from 2015 to 2024. And it worked. Until it didn’t.
Last year brought unexpected challenges — stress, emotional pressure, and a body that started speaking up again. My hair began falling out in clumps, which honestly made me upset. My energy was low. I was exhausted. And deep down, I knew… something’s off. Despite all I knew, I had to face the fact that my body needed a serious shift. So I reintroduced a small amount of animal protein, started taking key supplements, and began supporting my body in new ways — from the inside out. And slowly, things started to shift. My energy returned. My hair began to grow again. And most importantly, I started feeling like me again. SO HERE'S WHAT I'VE LEARNED
These are the truths I live by — not from books, but from experience. My hope is that they’ll bring you the clarity, compassion, and encouragement you may need on your own path:
1. Healing Isn’t About Perfection
- Even when you know what’s good for you — you can slip.
- Even as a qualified wellness expert — life can knock you sideways.
- We’re human. We’re learning all our lives.
- Healing is not a straight line. It’s about recognising when you’re off-track and gently returning to yourself.
2. The Body Speaks Before It Breaks
Symptoms are not the enemy — they’re messages. When you listen early, healing becomes more natural and intuitive.
3. It’s Not Just About Food
Nutrition is important, but it’s only one piece. Your thoughts, pace, rest, nervous system, and emotions matter just as much — sometimes even more.
4. Healing Comes in Waves
Setbacks aren’t failures. They’re part of the rhythm. Growth often comes disguised as a pause or pivot.
5. One Size Doesn’t Fit All
Your body is unique. What works for someone else might not work for you — and that’s okay. Bioindividuality and intuition must lead the way.6. You Can’t Pour From an Empty Cup
Overgiving and ignoring your needs only delays true wellness. Rest isn’t a luxury — it’s essential.
7. You Don’t Have to Choose One Path
It’s not about being 100% natural or fully conventional. True healing is about blending the wisdom of both worlds — wisely and intuitively.
8. Most Women Don’t Need Fixing
They need to feel seen, supported, and gently guided back to themselves — not judged, rushed, or overwhelmed.
9. Consistency > IntensityIt’s not the big leaps, but the small daily shifts that shape lasting transformation. You don’t need pressure — you need support.
THAT'S WHAT 'BLOSSOMTOLIFE' IS ALL ABOUT
This space isn’t about flawless routines or rigid rules. It’s about honouring your body, understanding your story, and finding your rhythm — physically, emotionally, energetically. And if you’re ready to do that…
